There are two main sources on pulp magazine interiors by Virgil Finlay.

The first is A Virgil Finlay Checklist by Gerry de la Ree as it appeared in the book Virgil Finlay in 1971. This checklist does contain some errors, but remains an impressive effort to list all published Virgil Finlays drawings.

The second source is The Internet Speculative Fiction Database. This represents a continuous effort to list all published Virgil Finlays drawings, with a focus on publications in the English language. Sometimes drawings are not attributed to Virgil Finlay on the basis that drawings by Virgil Finlay are signed by him. As an example (in 2011) visit the Famous Fantastic Mysteries Combined with Fantastic Novels Magazine December 1952 entry, where Lawrence Sterne Stevens is presumed to be responsible for work not signed.
