Virgil Finlay was one of the three so-called Centennials. The convention focussed on the commemoration of the births of the artist Virgil Finlay and the author Robert Aickman, as well as the beginning of World War I, one hundred years earlier. There was an extensive Virgil Finlay art collection on display, 89 of them have been reproduced in Unconventional Fantasy: A Celebration of Forty Years of the World Fantasy Convention, volume 6.
The collection of Finlay artwork beginning on page 75 is titled "Virgil Finlay's Work A Sample".
