In eleven copies a black and white photograph of a Finlay drawing is laid in. This photograph depicts "Jim Herndon and Santhu - from - "The Dragon Glass". The eleven copies are accompanied by a typed limitation statement signed by Gerry de la Ree declaring "one of eleven copies of A. Merritt's Thru the Dragon Glass with the Virgil Finlay drawing for the story laid in".

The drawing by Virgil Finlay was later part of A Portfolio of Illustrations by Virgil Finlay published by Fanews Publications in 1941, as plate 4.
