The Collectors' Book of Virgil Finlay is an art book collection of over 48 color pieces and over 140 black & white illustrations. The art is from the collections of Robert Weinberg, Doug Ellis, Glynn Crain and Robert K. Wiener.
The book premiered in November 2014 at the World Fantasy Convention 2014 in Washington D.C. in conjunction with the centenary celebration of Finlay's birth.
The kickstarter website reports that on June 23, 2014 (Virgil Finlay's 100th birthday), a total of 157 backers pledged $19,339 of the $4,500 goal.
The trade edition is signed by Robert Weinberg and Doug Ellis. The copies of the so-called kickstarter version, are also signed by Lail Finlay. The leather-bound edition is signed by Robert Weinberg, Doug Ellis and Lail Finlay, and contain a signed, cancelled publishers' payment check to Virgil Finlay.
