The photographs of Sophia Loren were taken in 1953, by Rex Features Ltd. It can be seen that the reproduction in Brief was of poor quality, as the ornaments in the hair and a brooch on the shoulder are hard to identify. This is probably the reason none of these details is present in the Virgil Finlay drawing.
