Forecast was a magazine, sometimes referred to as a Christmas Card, that Hugo Gernsback produced annually for the Christmas season, forecasting what the future might hold in store. It was distributed to fellow scientists, researchers and friends but was never sold to the public. As a consequence issues are quite scarce.

Forecast dealt with predictions in the field of science and was liberally illustrated especiallyby Frank R. Paul who had a life-long association with Gernsback. In later years other artists such as Virgil Finlay and Alex Schomburg also appeared.

According to the A Virgil Finlay Checklist by Gerry de la Ree, Virgil Finlay contributed to five issues of Forecast with a total of five illustrations.
