Front and back of the dust jacket by Virgil Finlay. The cover is taken from the December 1946 issue of Famous Fantastic Mysteries magazine.

The book repeats the same illustration by Virgil Finlay at the start of each story. This illustration was originally the right part of the title illustration for "The Messenger" by Robert W. Chambers, and appeared in "Famous Fantastic Mysteries", April 1948. Although the illustration is sometimes printed as a mirror image, the signature is always displayed correctly. Originally, the signature is on the right-hand-side of the illustration.
