Dislocazione is a special publication commemorating Michael Bishop's being a Guest of Honor at Italcon 39 in Bellaria, Italy.
The book cover uses a painting by Virgil Finay, who gave the painting two titles, as identified on the back of the canvas in his own handwriting: "Homage to Hieronymous Bosch, OR NIGHT DRIVER". It is oil paint on canvas and dated 28 September 1965. It measures 16 x 20 inches.
Notes:
According to Michael Bishop he signed 150 copies of Dislocazione and hand-corrected a mistake on the copyright page stating that the story’s original English title was “The Changeling.” He crossed out “Changeling” and inked in “Quickening.” Earlier, Armando Corridore, owner and publisher of the firm Elara Libri in Bologna had threatened to destroy the entire edition and reprint it with a corrected copyright page. Michael Bishop's hand written changes prevented this.
